Privacy Policy for CutHalo AI
1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how CutHalo AI accesses, uses, stores, and may share information when you use the app. It also describes the third-party services used by the app.
2. Images and background-removal processing
CutHalo AI lets you select an image and process it to remove or refine its background. Image inference and editing are performed locally on your Android device. AS Studio does not operate a server that receives or stores the images you choose for processing.
When you select an image, Android may grant the app access to that file through the system file or photo picker. Generated images are saved or exported only when you choose to do so.
3. AI model downloads
Some AI model files may be downloaded on demand from public GitHub Releases and stored in the app's private storage on your device. These downloads are used only to provide the selected on-device background-removal model. Standard network information, such as an IP address and request metadata, may be processed by GitHub as part of delivering the download. GitHub's handling of such information is governed by its own privacy terms.
4. Information stored locally by the app
CutHalo AI may store local preferences and app state on your device, such as selected model settings, processing preferences, Pro trial state, and purchase entitlement state. This information is used to provide app functionality and is not uploaded to an AS Studio account system.
5. Advertising
The free version of CutHalo AI may display ads using Google AdMob. Google and its advertising partners may process information such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, ad interactions, diagnostics, and other data necessary to deliver, measure, secure, and personalize advertising where permitted.
Advertising and privacy choices may vary by region and consent status. If Pro removes ads, CutHalo AI will not intentionally load or display its AdMob banner or interstitial ads while a valid Pro entitlement is active.

6. Google Play purchases
Optional Pro purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles payment information and purchase processing. CutHalo AI may receive purchase status, product information, purchase tokens, and entitlement results needed to unlock or restore Pro features. AS Studio does not receive your full payment-card details from Google Play.
7. Data sharing
AS Studio does not sell user-selected images or app-generated images. Data may be processed by third-party service providers only where required to provide app functions, including Google AdMob for advertising, Google Play for purchases, and GitHub for model-file delivery.
8. Data retention and deletion
Locally stored app preferences, downloaded model files, and local app state remain on your device until they are removed through app controls, Android app-data controls, or app uninstallation, as applicable. Because AS Studio does not maintain an account database for CutHalo AI, AS Studio does not hold a server-side copy of your selected images to delete.
Third-party providers may retain data according to their own policies and legal obligations.
9. Security
CutHalo AI is designed to minimize unnecessary data transfer by performing image processing locally. Network communication used for model downloads, advertising, and Google Play services uses the security mechanisms provided by Android and the relevant service providers. No method of electronic processing or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Your choices
You may stop using the app at any time and uninstall it to remove app-private local data. Android settings may also provide controls for app permissions and app data. Advertising privacy choices may be available through Google consent or privacy controls where required. Purchase restoration is handled through Google Play for eligible purchases.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
AS Studio may update this Privacy Policy when app features, third-party services, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are published.
